A beautiful old farm & an inspiring creative couple met to create the perfect marriage of romance and vintage drama. Even the chicken coop was adorned – not a detail was missed. From the sweet vodka tea before dinner served in mason jars, tiny jars of honey wrapped in calico and twine, huge chandelier surprise in the barn, and flowers in antique shades of sweetness that made you dream of dressing up in grandma’s attic and finding wonderful treasures of days gone by. To make everything even more special, Kalie and Chris were themselves a picture perfect, totally in love, almost unbearingly gracious newlywed couple. Did I mention they are both incredibly gorgeous?! C’mon, people – this is the good stuff.

Minneapolis is an amazing place to get married—the artisan possibilities are simply endless! Today’s real wedding is truly a Clover & Bee favorite. Combining this classic downtown venuewith all of wedding designer Allison Geiger’s perfect vintage details made for a simply picture-perfect party. Wait until you see these shots from Kate McGough of Perspective Studio—it was love at first sight! All the lush yellow and pink florals, bright blue summer skies, every elegant handmade detail…pure delight!

This wedding began in my favorite local chapel at Green Lake Bible Camp in Spicer, MN.  The pine beams and rustic bench pews, along with the Norwegian vaulted ceilings and stained glass all make for a lovely setting to marry.  My bride chose textural, delicate flowers in shades of dusty lilac to deep plums and purples, with vivid lapis accents.  Beautiful deep purple anenomes, petite lavendar Grape Hyacinth, and pretty purple Vanda Orchids were just some of the romantic flowers in these designs.  The reception was held at The Oaks on Eagle Creek Golf Course in Willmar, MN.  They recently revamped their event room to a classic, elegant white backdrop with great lighting and a beautiful view. (Check out their new deck which is great for parties, too!).  My favorite element in this wedding was the arbor, which was made by the bride’s father. I decorated it with Manzanita branches, orchids, roses, and heather, and it turned out amazing.

This wedding was last June, but the drizzling gray day reminded me of spring so thought I would share it with you now. The little white chapel is out at Lake Andrew, Marble Church at Shores of St.Andrew Bible Camp. It’s so sweet and just the perfect setting for these pretty pink flowers and grapevine wreaths.

Ok, so I did this party last spring, but I wanted to bring it out in the open for you all to enjoy, because we sure loved it! It was actually a graduation party, and it was amazing. This country estate had it all; barn complete w/horses, fire pit, brick oven fireplace, hay bales, goats and chickens…it was like Charlotte’s Web come to life! Loved it all. Catered by McKale’s in New London and desserts from Deidra’s in Willmar. Decor and floral, all set-up, and photos by AliLu Studios. Tables and chairs from South Central Tent Rental.

Angela and Christian found a dreamy lakeside wedding site at the Erickson home on Lake Skaatas in Willmar.  Who would have guessed that after a month of drought, we would have an entire day of rain and cold wind? Love always triumphs over weather, though…especially in MN!!

I put together this event for Mary & Dave at the Oaks – hope to see everyone there this weekend! Should be warmer and a great time to get out and invite spring into our lives!!

We had a wonderful time setting up this weekends’ wedding for Aleah Tebben.  The ceremony was held at the Norwegian style chapel of Green Lake Bible Camp, & the reception at Melvin’s on the Lake in Spicer, MN.  To compliment the simple, elegant champagne gowns of the bridesmaids, we chose velvety shades of reds & deep merlots.  the chapel looked warm and inviting, & Melvin’s  was aglow with candle light, glittering crystals, and rich reds.  It was beautiful!
